Intense storms over Centennial Park that August afternoon had us asking whether it was time to activate the wet weather plan, but then at the perfect moment the clouds parted and the guests arrived to watch Katherine and Amer tie the knot under an arbour heaving with winter blooms.

Amer's buttonhole featured a blushing bride flower and his groomsmen wore burgundy roses, while Katherine and her bridesmaids carried bouquets that they had made in a Petal & Fern bouquet workshop the day before.

Flowers for the day included proteas, anemones, phyllica, sea holly, lisianthus, snapdragons, blushing brides, wax flower, eucalyptus and olive.

The same rich, antique-inspired colour scheme was carried through the reception flowers and the arbour decorations were repurposed along the front of the bridal party table so the newlyweds could enjoy them all evening.
