CHRIS & KAT
When a florist is getting married, you know the decorations are going to get a little crazy!
Chris and I got hitched in a ceremony at Eternity Playhouse in Darlinghurst, just a short stroll from our place. After the ceremony, we wandered up the hill to kick off the reception at Cell Block Theatre at the National Art School.
Three of my favourite blooms – dahlias, snapdragons and delphiniums – were the floral heroes of the day. I used them in the dainty bouquets (I'm a sucker for a posy) and also arranged them in vintage cut glass and crystal vases for table decoration (I'm also a sucker for a vintage vase).
Then we got a little crazy and hung hundreds of flowers from the ceiling. High fives to all of our amazing family and friends for helping to set it up!
And just when I thought that the day couldn't get any better, there was a surprise glitter cannon. Yep, Chris had organised for it to go off at the end of the ceremony but it malfunctioned, so we snuck back to Eternity Playhouse and danced in the shiny confetti.
